Accra, April 28, GNA - The National Media Commission (NMC) on Thursday appointed chairpersons and members of the various governing boards of the four State-Owned Media organizations. The Commission, exercising its mandate under Article 168 of the 1992 Constitution in consultation with the President of the Republic of Ghana, has appointed the Boards for the Ghana News Agency, the Graphic Communications Group Limited, the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation and the New Times Corporation for a two-year tenure of office effective May 3, 2011.

Tema, April 28, GNA - Six persons died while 15 others sustained injuries in two separate accidents at Dawhenya on the Tema/Aflao Road. The injured are on admission at the Tema General Hospital, while the bodies of the deceased have also been deposited at the hospital's morgue awaiting autopsy, Superintendent of Police Daniel Ansong Denkyi, Tema Regional Motor Traffic and Transport Unit (MTTU) Commander, told the GNA on Wednesday.
